Tentoglou and Karalis to compete in inaugural Ultimate Championship

The inaugural Ultimate Championship, a new World Athletics event, will take place in Budapest from September 11 to 13 at the National Athletics Centre. The competition features 381 athletes from 65 countries and offers a total prize pool of $10 million, with $150,000 awarded to the winner of each individual event.

Greek athletes Miltos Tentoglou and Emmanouil Karalis will participate in the championship. Karalis is scheduled to compete in the men's pole vault on Friday, September 11, facing competitors such as Armand Duplantis and Sam Kendricks. Tentoglou will compete in the men's long jump on Saturday, September 12, against athletes including Simon Ehammer and Tajay Gayle.

The event includes 13 individual men's events and 13 individual women's events, covering track, field, and relay disciplines. Qualification is open to 2024 Paris Olympians, Tokyo World Champions, and Diamond League winners, ensuring the presence of the world's elite track and field athletes.
