Tenute Gregu preserves Sardinian viticulture traditions
Tenute Gregu is a Sardinian winery rooted in the agro-pastoral traditions of the Gallura region. The family-led project, which began in 2011 when Antioco Gregu and his sons acquired 46 hectares in Calangianus near Monte Limbara, aims to express the identity of the island through viticulture.
The estate manages 30 hectares of vineyards alongside 16 hectares of cork forests and three hectares of lakes to maintain ecological balance. The vineyards, situated at an altitude of approximately 500 meters on granitic soil, primarily produce Vermentino, Cannonau, and Muristeddu, with smaller amounts of Syrah and Merlot.
The local microclimate, characterized by constant wind, significant temperature fluctuations, and nocturnal dew, allows for a slow and complete maturation of the grapes, preserving their aromatic profile.
