Teos Ancient City to host musical reunion after 2,100 years

The Teos Ancient City, which historically hosted the Dionysos Artists Union, will host a musical gathering on Friday, October 9. This event marks a reunion of artists in the location approximately 2,100 years after the ancient union's era.

The EDPA Quartet, featuring performers from the Izmir State Opera and Ballet—Ekin Güler Yavuz, Damla Açıkpazu, Arda İşler, and Pelin Odabaşı—will perform at 17:00. The repertoire includes works by Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Albinoni, and Piazzolla, featuring pieces such as ‘Libertango’ and ‘Hungarian Dance’.

Seferihisar Deputy Mayor Fuat Gümüş emphasized the historical connection between Teos and the arts, stating that the return of music to these lands strengthens the bond with their history and helps preserve this unique heritage.
