Teotihuacán-AIFA transport corridor begins operations

A new public transport corridor has launched to connect the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with Teotihuacán in the State of Mexico. The pilot program aims to improve mobility for both local residents and tourists by providing a direct route without the need for multiple transfers.

The service covers a distance of approximately 40 to 42 kilometers with roughly 20 stops, including key locations such as the IMSS Clinic 200 and the Tecámac General Hospital. The estimated travel time is 1 hour and 10 minutes. By unifying approximately six different transport companies under a single administration, the project reduces passenger costs from over 50 pesos to a flat rate of 35 pesos.

Authorities plan to implement an electronic prepayment system to facilitate access. While the initial stage connects the Teotihuacán municipal seat to the Santa Lucía military base area, a second stage is planned to expand the service to San Martín de las Pirámides and Otumba.
