Teotihuacán hosts Tolkien festival as Anya Taylor‑Joy joins new Lord of the Rings film

The 5th Festival La Comarca will be held on 8‑9 August 2026 at Club Campestre Teotihuacán, Mexico. The two‑day event is themed around J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle‑Earth and will feature Celtic music, elven weddings, orc combats, a magic bazaar, hobbit dances, pet‑friendly zones, free entry for children under 10, and tickets priced from 400 to 800 pesos.

In Hollywood, actress Anya Taylor‑Joy has been added to the cast of the upcoming film “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.” She will portray the elf Seren, a Sindar of the Woodland Realm. The film, directed by Andy Serkis (who also reprises Gollum), is scheduled for worldwide release on 17 December 2027 and joins returning stars such as Elijah Wood and Ian McKellen.
