Tepatitlán students under investigation following viral assault video

Authorities at the Preparatoria Regional de Tepatitlán, part of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), have launched an internal investigation following a viral video showing students being physically assaulted near the campus.

The incident reportedly occurred in two stages at a nearby food establishment. In the footage, one student is seen being kicked and beaten, while another is confronted. The aggressor allegedly acted in retaliation for the purported bullying of her younger sister, though official confirmation of the bullying claims is still pending.

Public indignation has been fueled by the presence of an adult male, identified as a relative of the aggressors, who appeared to encourage the violence rather than intervene. As the investigation continues, the three teenagers involved have been instructed to remain at home and attend classes online.
