Tepeji del Río approves road transfer for HEB investment

The municipal government of Tepeji del Río has approved the de-incorporation of approximately 17,909 square meters of municipal roads located within the Tepeji Industrial Park. This measure allows these streets to be transferred to private domain, facilitating their sale to Inversiones HEB S. A. de C. V.

The approved operation is valued at approximately 12.3 million pesos, contingent upon official appraisals and financial studies to ensure municipal benefit. Mayor Tania Valdez Cuéllar stated that the investment aims to leverage the region's strategic industrial location to generate formal employment and benefit local service providers and transporters. While the measure passed with 12 votes in favor, some council members raised concerns regarding the speed of the review process and the documentation provided.
