Teplice police close investigation into attacks on Muslim prayer house
Police in Teplice have closed investigations into a series of attacks targeting a local Muslim prayer house, stating that no perpetrators could be identified despite extensive efforts.
The incidents occurred in March during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Vandalism included the spraying of large swastikas across the building's facade and the placement of a headless chicken near the entrance.
Local resident Eman Ghaleb described the acts as intimidation and the spreading of hatred, noting that such incidents disrupt community coexistence and create fear. Police spokesperson Ilona Gazdošová confirmed that the cases were dismissed because no specific individual could be found to face criminal proceedings.
