Tequisquiapan Unveils 2026 Cultural and Sports Festival Program

The municipality of Tequisquiapan announced the program for its 2026 Fiestas del Pueblo, scheduled for August 12‑16 in the town’s historic centre. Mayor Héctor Iván Magaña Rentería presented a series of free concerts at the Teatro del Pueblo, featuring Alacranes Musical (August 12), Conjunto Nuevo Amanecer (August 13), Cardenales de Nuevo León (August 14) and Titanes de Durango (August 16).

In addition to the musical events, the festival includes a traditional "Carrera del Pueblo" on Sunday, August 16, with 5‑km and 10‑km routes limited to 700 participants; registration costs 300 pesos before August 7 and 350 pesos thereafter. A regional cooking gathering called "Saberes y Sabores" will showcase 30‑40 traditional Querétaro dishes prepared by local women cooks.
