Tera Portföy faces 300 billion TL fund redemption crisis

Tera Portföy has reported that it faced approximately 300 billion TL in total fund redemption requests over a short period. While the company successfully completed payments for four specific funds (TRJ, FSU, TMM, and TRU) between September 16 and 18, 2026, further investor payments have been halted. This suspension is due to transaction restrictions and blocks placed on the company's accounts at Takasbank on September 18.

The situation is unfolding amid a large-scale investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into capital market operations. As part of this probe, Tera Yatırım Board Members Bülent Uygun and Abdulkadir Özkan have been taken into custody. The investigation has also expanded to include financial data and international transfers of executives from Pusula Finans Holding and other related entities, following reports of significant transfers to Swiss bank accounts.

To manage the crisis, the Capital Markets Board (SPK) has authorized Türkiye İş Bankası A. Ş. to oversee the liquidation process for the affected funds. The investigation continues to examine potential market manipulation and suspicious financial movements involving various holding companies and their leadership.
