Tera Yatırım executives resign amid fund suspensions and travel bans
The Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) has suspended the trading of all investment funds on TEFAS associated with Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1, Pardus, and Bulls Portföy. This decision follows investigations into market manipulation and financial irregularities.
In a related development, Tera Yatırım announced that Emre Tezmen and Erkan Kilimci have resigned from their board positions at Pusula Finans Holding. The company clarified that these resignations occurred before any official registration of the planned share transfer process with the Trade Registry.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has imposed travel bans on 48 individuals as part of an ongoing investigation into capital market transactions. Among those affected are Tera Yatırım Chairman Emre Tezmen and Katılımevim Chairman Serdar Turhan. To prevent the flight of assets, the Ministry of Justice has placed measures on the accounts and assets of the suspects. The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has stated it aims to return funds from the seized investment funds to their owners within three months.
