Turkey's Capital Markets Board imposes sanctions on investment firms

The Capital Markets Board (SPK) of Turkey has issued several regulatory actions against various financial institutions. The board temporarily suspended the capital market activities of Alnus Yatırım, Bulls Yatırım, and Pusula Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ, effective October 21, 2026.

In a separate enforcement action, the SPK froze the voting rights of Tera Yatırım Holding AŞ and its related entities, including Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler and Tera Portföy Yönetimi, due to a failure to fulfill mandatory tender offer obligations following its acquisition of management control in Peker Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı AŞ. Additionally, the board imposed trading restrictions on the specific shares held by these Tera entities.

Other regulatory measures include an administrative fine of 354,803 Turkish Lira imposed on HSBC Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ for insufficient professional diligence regarding the determination of expired assets. Metas Gayrimenkul Değerleme ve Danışmanlık AŞ was also removed from the list of authorized real estate appraisal institutions. Meanwhile, Fiba Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ received approval for a 1 billion lira issuance ceiling for bonds and debt instruments.
