Teradyne opens Bengaluru office to support Indian semiconductor growth

Teradyne, Inc., a provider of automated test equipment and advanced robotics, has opened a new office in Bengaluru, India. The facility is intended to support the country’s expanding semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.

The new office will function as a hub for customer engagement, strategic partnerships, training, and applications support. This move is part of a broader strategy to assist chipmakers and manufacturers as India scales its domestic fabrication, packaging, and testing capabilities, driven in part by increased demand from artificial intelligence.

Teradyne’s expansion aligns with the India Semiconductor Mission, a government initiative aimed at building domestic manufacturing infrastructure. Amitesh Kumar Sinha, CEO of the India Semiconductor Mission, noted that the company’s permanent presence would strengthen the national semiconductor value chain.
