Teramo Ambiente launches new plan to combat illegal waste dumping

Teramo Ambiente S.p.A., in collaboration with the Teramo municipal administration, has introduced an integrated service to combat illegal waste abandonment and improper disposal. The initiative follows a municipal council resolution aimed at protecting urban decorum and addressing citizen reports, specifically targeting sensitive areas prone to recurring issues.

The strategic plan includes five key components:

• Environmental Inspectors: Full-time personnel qualified as environmental inspectors will patrol the territory to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and schedules, reporting anomalies to the municipal ecological police. • Dedicated Monitoring Vehicles: Specialized company vehicles will be used exclusively for monitoring and controlling critical areas. • Rapid Response Service: An on-call operational service has been established to ensure the timely removal of abandoned waste following citizen reports. • Data Monitoring: Field activities will be measured using verifiable indicators to provide the administration with detailed reports and to study high-risk zones. • Communication Campaign: An integrated awareness campaign will be launched to promote virtuous waste management behaviors among the public.
