Italian sports clubs launch new seasons and celebrate championships

Various regional sports organizations in Italy are marking the start of new seasons or concluding national competitions.

In carp fishing, Oscar Galuzzi of Coriano won the 2026 AICS National Carp Fishing Championship held at Lago Riviera in Viserba. Galuzzi secured the title with a total catch of 49.5 kg, followed by Georgi Tanchev Ivanov with 44.8 kg and Alessandro Biografi with 40.75 kg.

Rotellistica Scandianese is launching its 2026/27 season, featuring its Men’s Serie A2 team, Serie B, and youth categories, alongside new inclusive projects like Powerchair Hockey and Showdown.

In football, Teramo Calcio held a symbolic meeting with Bishop Lorenzo Leuzzi to discuss the educational values of sport. Sancataldese Calcio presented its new squad at a community event, though the team is currently playing matches in Serradifalc due to renovations at the Valentino Mazzola stadium. Marsala Futsal also officially presented its 2026/2027 season, aiming for national titles. Additionally, Vis Stella introduced its roster for the Seconda Categoria championship during a local festival in Monsampolo.
