Teramo citizens to file legal complaint over broken traffic lights
In Teramo, a group of citizens is organizing to file a formal complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding non-functioning traffic lights. The initiative follows a recent accident in Piazza Progresso involving a car and a scooter, which left a young motorcyclist injured.
Protesters are specifically highlighting malfunctioning signals in San Nicolò a Tordino, including those on Viale Cristoforo Colombo and Viale Galilei, as well as Viale Crucioli in central Teramo. Citizens claim that administrative inertia and economic concerns—noting that repairs for the Piazza Progresso area would cost approximately 50,000 euros—are delaying essential safety updates.
With the school year approaching, residents are questioning the local administration's responsibility for road safety near schools, where traffic and pedestrian presence are expected to increase significantly.
