Teramo Museum expands educational programs and workshops
The Teramo Museum Complex has announced an expanded educational program for the 2026/2027 period, designed to transform the museum from a traditional viewing space into an interactive learning environment. Developed in collaboration with the Cooperativa Le Macchine Celibi, the initiative aims to engage students through hands-on workshops and thematic itineraries.
Key features of the new program include the “Colors and Fabrics of Tradition” workshop, which teaches primary and middle school students about ancient Roman textile dyeing techniques using natural pigments. Additionally, the “Teramo, City of Mosaics” itinerary will guide students through significant archaeological sites, including the Domus of Madonna delle Grazie, the Domus del Leone, and the Domus of Largo Sant’Anna, to explore Roman construction and decorative arts.
The expansion also coincides with the reopening and enhancement of several cultural sites, such as the Madonna delle Grazie archaeological site and the Domus del Leone. Furthermore, the Civic Art Gallery is undergoing a reorganization project as part of the “Piccoli Musei” initiative.
