Italy arrests 17-year-old for suspected terrorism and supremacist activity

Italian State Police have arrested a 17-year-old resident of the Trento province on suspicion of possessing materials for terrorist purposes. The arrest follows an investigation by the DIGOS units of Verona and Trento, which began in the autumn of 2025 after monitoring supremacist online channels.

Investigators identified the teenager as a highly radicalized individual who held the position of 'Vice Capo' and operational referent for the social media group 'F. F. I. Fronte Fascista Italiano,' where he was responsible for selecting new members. He reportedly expressed admiration for 'white terrorists' and published propaganda celebrating the Atomwaffen Division.

A search of his residence uncovered neo-Nazi banners, various weapons including katanas, machetes, knives, crossbows, and soft air guns, as well as extremist manuscripts. Digital forensics on his mobile devices revealed manuals for manufacturing improvised explosive devices, guides for conducting attacks using heavy vehicles, lists of poisons, and instructions for eliminating human targets. Police also noted evidence of imminent plans to target Jews, immigrants, homosexuals, magistrates, and politicians.
