TERAS to host Sashiko exhibition at Isetan Shinjuku

The Japanese brand TERAS will host the ‘TERAS Sashiko Exhibition 2026’ at the Isetan Shinjuku store from September 7 to September 15, 2026. The brand, operated by TOMOS company, specializes in ‘Made in Japan’ products utilizing traditional Sashiko and Boro techniques.

The exhibition will feature one-of-a-kind items, including cushion covers, tapestries, and custom jackets made from repurposed old cloth. In addition to the product showcase, TERAS will hold Sashiko workshops on September 11 and 12, where participants can create mini tote bags or sacoches using fabric scraps.

TERAS is a brand born from a continuous employment support facility, aiming to bridge welfare and craftsmanship. By working with individuals with disabilities, the brand seeks to transform traditional Japanese textile arts into modern lifestyle products.
