Terence Crawford reveals near-fatal weight cut experience

Professional boxer Terence Crawford recently revealed that he nearly died during an extreme weight cut early in his career. The incident occurred in Texas while he was attempting to reach the 135-pound lightweight limit.

Crawford described the conditions as brutal, noting temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. To meet the mandated weight, he continued exercising without drinking water. Although he eventually reached the scale at two pounds under the limit, his body crashed upon attempting to rehydrate with water and Pedialyte. Crawford stated he feared he would require hospitalization due to the severity of the physical collapse.
