Terence Crawford trainer denies comeback rumors

Trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre has dismissed speculation regarding a potential comeback for undefeated boxer Terence Crawford. Speaking on ‘The Last Stand’ podcast, McIntyre stated that Crawford is finished with professional fighting, noting, ‘Bud done, man. He said he done.’

McIntyre clarified that recent footage of Crawford training in the gym was intended for maintaining fitness and assisting fighter Lester Martinez, rather than preparing for a return to the ring or a matchup against Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. The trainer expressed support for Crawford’s decision to retire, stating the fighter has nothing left to prove.

Reflecting on his career, McIntyre identified the July 2025 victory over Errol Spence Jr. as his most satisfying win. He cited personal disrespect from the opposing camp during that period as a primary reason the victory felt significant.
