TeReS pilot project launches to support caregivers via AI
The TeReS (Technologiegestützte Regionale Sorgegemeinschaft) pilot project has launched in North Rhine-Westphalia to support family caregivers. Developed through a collaboration between the University of Cologne, the Gesundheitsregion KölnBonn, the gewi-Institut, and NursIT Institute GmbH, the initiative aims to alleviate the physical and psychological burdens of caregiving.
The project features an interactive platform consisting of a dedicated app for caregivers and an AI-supported advisory tool for senior and care counseling centers. The initiative is supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and co-financed by the European Union, with scientific evaluation conducted by the University of Cologne's Institute for Nursing Science through June 2027.
