Teresa Teng tribute concert to be held in Jakarta

A tribute concert titled ‘A Tribute to Teresa Teng’ is scheduled for October 28, 2026, at The Ballroom at Plaza Senayan in Jakarta. The event honors the legendary Mandarin music diva and will feature Shanghai singer Flora Liu as a headliner. Liu will perform Teresa Teng’s popular songs accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra conducted by RM Condro.

Indonesian singers Kris Dayanti and Putri Ayu will also provide special performances. The concert highlights the cultural connection between Teresa Teng and Indonesia, specifically noting that her famous song ‘Tian Mi Mi’ is believed to be adapted from the Indonesian song ‘Dayung Sampan,’ which was popular in Semarang during the 1950s. Both Dayanti and Ayu expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting the significance of Teng’s musical legacy in Asia.
