Teresina's SDU Sul Removes Over 30 Tons of Trash from Promorar Home

The Superintendence of Urban Development – SDU Sul in Teresina has cleared more than 30 tonnes of waste from a residence in the Promorar neighborhood. The cleanup began on July 9 after the house was found filled with about 300 cubic meters of garbage, reaching nearly three meters in height.

Superintendent Isaac Meneses said, "We already have a little more than 30 tonnes of material collected. We need to remove the gate to improve access for workers and continue the work," and indicated that the operation will take at least four more days. The agency is also conducting engineering inspections of the surrounding houses to check for any health impacts, and the property owner is receiving social and psychological assistance from the municipality.
