Tereza Bebarová discusses perimenopause and her exit from ‘Ulice’

Czech actress and presenter Tereza Bebarová has spoken openly about her experiences with perimenopause, describing it as a period of significant physical and emotional transformation. She noted that the transition has made her more perceptive and led her to reflect on her identity, comparing the process to shedding layers of an onion.

Bebarová also addressed her departure from the long-running television series ‘Ulice’ in 2020. She described the exit as a shock, explaining that she had intended to reduce her filming schedule to focus on her family rather than leave the show entirely. She expressed disappointment regarding the lack of communication from production, noting that her character, Světlana, was written out of the series through death without her prior knowledge.
