Tereza Voborníková wins City Biathlon in Dresden
Czech biathlete Tereza Voborníková won the women’s M4Energy City Biathlon in Dresden, finishing with a time of 31:50.6. Voborníková, a recent Olympic bronze medalist, secured her victory through an impeccable performance at the shooting range, recording zero errors.
Austria’s Anna Gandler took second place, finishing 12.2 seconds behind the winner despite missing four targets and incurring one penalty. Italy’s Lisa Vittozzi claimed third place, finishing 17.0 seconds behind Voborníková. Vittozzi’s podium finish was hindered by five total shooting errors, including mistakes in the final session that required penalty loops.
Other notable finishers included Germany’s Janina Hettich-Walz in fourth and Sweden’s Anna Magnusson in fifth. The event was held at the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion before a large crowd.
