Teri Hatcher to join West End cast of The Devil Wears Prada musical

Teri Hatcher has been announced as the new lead for the West End musical adaptation of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. Hatcher will take over the role of icy editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, succeeding her former ‘Desperate Housewives’ co-star Vanessa Williams.

Williams is scheduled to give her final performance on 19 September. Hatcher’s run is set to begin on 20 October, with Debbie Kurup performing the role in the interim. Hatcher is slated to perform at London’s Dominion Theatre through 6 February 2027.

The musical, which features original songs by Elton John, is based on the 2006 film and the novel by Lauren Weisberger. Hatcher, known for her roles in ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ and the James Bond film ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, previously made her musical theatre debut in the touring production of ‘Cabaret’ in 1999.
