Terme di Cervia acquires 18% stake in Parco della Salina

The Province of Ravenna is exiting its shareholding in Parco della Salina. Following a public auction initiated in August, Terme di Cervia Srl has been provisionally awarded the Province's 18% stake.

This transaction will shift the company's ownership structure. Currently, the Municipality of Cervia holds a majority stake of 56%. With the transfer, Terme di Cervia Srl—which already owns 9%—would increase its holding to 27%, becoming the second-largest shareholder. Other stakeholders include the Delta del Po Parks and Biodiversity Management Body and the Ferrara-Ravenna Chamber of Commerce.

The acquisition is considered strategic as Terme di Cervia Srl utilizes the salt pan's waters and mud for its thermal activities, creating a direct interest in the site's preservation and valorization. The transfer remains provisional pending the completion of standard procedures, including pre-emption rights and approval clauses, with the operation expected to conclude in the coming weeks.
