Terme Vigliatore investigation targets clandestine racing after serious accident

Two young people were seriously injured in a road accident on the Marchesana seafront in Terme Vigliatore. One victim remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Policlinico, while the individual who struck them is also injured but out of danger.

Investigators from the Terme Vigliatore Carabinieri are examining the possibility that the incident was caused by clandestine racing involving mopeds or other vehicles during the night. Mayor Bartolo Cipriano has issued an official appeal to witnesses, urging anyone with information or video footage to cooperate with law enforcement to help reconstruct the events and determine responsibility.

The municipal administration has strongly condemned dangerous maneuvers and illegal racing on public roads. Following reports of potential upcoming gatherings for similar illegal activities, authorities have been alerted to increase patrols and prevent further incidents.
