James Cameron’s 1991 sci‑fi action film *Terminator 2: Judgment Day* will return to cinemas worldwide from 27 August to 4 September 2026 to mark its 35th anniversary. The re‑issue is being presented in 4K, RealD 3D and other premium formats by StudioCanal, DMG Entertainment, Lightstorm Entertainment, Fathom Entertainment and Rialto Pictures.
The rollout begins on 27 August in Germany, Latin‑America markets and the Czech Republic, followed by the United States, Italy and Poland on 28 August. Subsequent dates include France (2 September), Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Sweden and Hungary (3 September) and the United Kingdom (4 September). Cameron said the lovingly‑prepared 3D version is “the absolute best way to see the film” and added a spoiler‑alert that the good guys win against the AI super‑intelligence.
The original film was a global box‑office phenomenon, winning four Oscars for sound and visual effects and cementing its status as a milestone of action cinema.
