Terminator 2 returns to global theaters for 35th anniversary

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, James Cameron’s science fiction classic ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ is returning to movie theaters worldwide. The re-release features a 4K restoration and is being presented in various premium formats, including RealD 3D, 4DX, and D-BOX.

In the United States, screenings are scheduled from August 28 through September 2, coordinated by Fathom Entertainment, Rialto Pictures, and STUDIOCANAL. International releases are also taking place in late August and early September across several regions, including Mexico, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Peru.

The anniversary campaign highlights the film’s technical legacy, specifically its pioneering use of computer-generated imagery and its impact on the action genre. In addition to theatrical runs, some regions may see the film available via specialized streaming services.
