Termoelectrica seeks urgent repairs for Chișinău thermal network

Termoelectrica has issued an urgent call to repair a defect in the thermal network located near the Cathedral Square in central Chișinău. The company warns that repairs must be completed by October 15, prior to the start of the heating season, to prevent potential supply issues for consumers and institutions in the capital's center.

The defect was identified on September 9 following a significant increase in thermal agent losses. While the central area is currently being supplied via an alternative connection at the intersection of București and Bănulescu-Bodoni streets, management emphasizes that this is only a temporary measure that cannot sustain the increased demand expected during colder temperatures.

Director General Iurie Razlovan stated that repairs could take approximately four days, provided necessary access and conditions are met. Meanwhile, Chișinău Mayor Ion Ceban has criticized the company, alleging that the interventions were carried out without the required authorizations and labeling the works as illegal.
