Termoli authorities arrest burglary suspects and recover 460,000 euros in unpaid taxes

Authorities in Termoli, Italy, have addressed two separate criminal matters involving local businesses.

Police arrested two individuals following a series of nighttime burglaries targeting restaurants in the city center. The suspects, who had prior records for property crimes, were apprehended shortly after the incidents. Officers recovered stolen coins along with burglary tools, including a crowbar and large screwdrivers. Both men face charges for conspiracy to commit theft, possession of burglary tools, and property damage. Additionally, the Questore of Campobasso has issued a four-year ban preventing them from returning to Termoli.

In a separate operation, the Guardia di Finanza identified 460,000 euros in unpaid local taxes along the Molise coast. Investigations conducted by the Termoli naval station focused on beach resorts, tourist facilities, and restaurants operating on state-owned maritime land. The discrepancies primarily involved unpaid municipal property taxes and waste disposal fees. The recovered funds will be returned to the coastal municipalities to support essential local services.
