Termoli hospital treats 75-year-old after cardiac event on Trenitalia train

A 75-year-old man from Lecce was hospitalized in stable condition after suffering an acute cardiac event while traveling on a Trenitalia Frecciabianca train heading toward Lombardy.

Upon experiencing severe chest pain, the passenger alerted the train conductor, who immediately contacted emergency services and checked for medical professionals on board. As the train approached Termoli, emergency responders were coordinated to meet the vehicle at the station.

Medical teams met the passenger at the platform and transported him to the San Timoteo Hospital. The hospital's hemodynamics team, led by cardiology director Gianludovico Magri, performed necessary procedures to restore blood flow and stabilize the patient. He remains under observation but is reported to be out of danger.
