Termoli police arrest three in drug trafficking operation

Police in Termoli and Campobasso have arrested two men and one woman following a drug trafficking investigation coordinated by the Larino Public Prosecutor's Office. The operation began in a peripheral area of Termoli when officers attempted to stop a large-capacity motorcycle suspected of involvement in drug sales.

The driver attempted to evade the police by fleeing at high speed on a dirt road. During the pursuit, the individual discarded several packages containing cocaine and hashish, which were later recovered by officers. Approximately 1,000 euros in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales, was found on the driver.

A subsequent search of the suspect's residence, described by investigators as a “drug hub,” led to the arrest of two additional individuals—a young man and his partner—who were present at the time. With the assistance of a Guardia di Finanza canine unit, police seized over 100 grams of cocaine, marijuana, and hashish, along with a scale, packaging materials, and an additional 850 euros in cash.
