Ternana faces defensive crisis and roster changes

Ternana is facing several roster challenges involving injuries and potential player departures. Defender Nicola Rolla sustained a serious injury during training on October 7, exacerbating a defensive crisis that already includes Turini, Bruti, and Zaffalon. Consequently, sporting director Carlo Mammarella is evaluating the acquisition of a new central defender.

In the goalkeeper position, the club is considering an early contract termination for Tommaso Vitali to allow the player to seek opportunities in Serie C, following interest from clubs such as Pianese. If Vitali departs, the club intends to recruit a new under-age goalkeeper.

Regarding transfer rumors, Giuseppe Nicolao has been linked to the club. However, despite his experience in Serie B and Serie C, management has reportedly ruled him out for the current defensive needs as they are specifically seeking a central defender rather than a left-sided wing-back.
