Terni authorities implement security measures following nightlife patrols

Authorities in Terni have implemented seven prevention measures following extraordinary security checks aimed at curbing urban decay and microcrime during nightlife hours. The operations, part of the ‘movida sicura’ initiative, resulted in the identification of 40 individuals, 15 of whom had prior police records.

Key enforcement actions included the issuance of three mandatory expulsion orders (fogli di via) prohibiting reentry to the municipality. These orders targeted individuals involved in drug offenses, including an Albanian citizen found with cocaine and a Moroccan citizen who resisted arrest while in possession of narcotics. Other measures taken by Questore Michele Abenante included two oral warnings, one formal admonition, and one ban from specific urban areas.

Additional police activity identified two youths in possession of cocaine and hashish for personal use, and local police issued sanctions for traffic violations involving an uninsured scooter and dangerous driving. Furthermore, a 24-year-old foreign national found to be in violation of residency regulations was transferred to a repatriation center pending expulsion.
