Terni brawl leads to four charges and knife seizure

Four men were reported to authorities following a violent brawl in Piazza della Pace in the center of Terni on the evening of September 2. The incident was reported to emergency services by a citizen via the 112 emergency number.

Carabinieri officers intervened to stop the fight and identified the four participants, who are of foreign origin. Investigations suggest the altercation began over trivial matters and escalated due to the participants being in a state of physical and psychological alteration caused by alcohol consumption. During the fight, one individual reportedly brandished a kitchen knife to threaten another, prompting the seizure of the weapon by authorities.

All four men sustained minor abrasions and received medical attention from emergency personnel on the scene. Following the incident, the men were taken to the station with assistance from the Guardia di Finanza. They have been charged with rioting, and one individual faces additional charges for carrying an offensive object. The case is currently in the preliminary investigation phase.
