Terni hosts Festival del Cielo with Polizia di Stato participation

The Festival del Cielo 2026, an aeronautical event held at the ‘Alvaro Leonardi’ airfield in Terni, featured participation from the Polizia di Stato. The event aimed to promote flight culture and highlight the tourism potential of the Umbria region.

An crew from the Pescara Flight Department, led by First Director Salvatore Cesari, arrived at the festival with an Augusta helicopter. Specialized personnel and pilots met with families and young visitors to demonstrate the aircraft's capabilities and explain its various operational roles, including territory control, search and rescue, judicial police support, and emergency interventions. The initiative served as a community outreach effort to strengthen the relationship between the police and citizens while fostering a culture of legality and security among younger generations.
