Terni police intensify checks, arrest Nigerian drug trafficker and local Italian suspect

Questore Michele Abenante ordered the Squadra Mobile in Terni to carry out intensified patrols in the historic centre and peripheral areas after a wave of citizen reports. During the operation, officers detained a Nigerian man near via Eugenio Chiesa who is subject to a prison order for illegal re‑entry and drug trafficking; he was transferred to the Sabbione prison to serve the remaining two years of his sentence.

In the same sweep, police arrested a 40‑year‑old Italian resident in the former forester’s building on via I Maggio. He is also under a prison order for a conviction of assault and was taken to the local house of detention. The actions are part of an ongoing campaign to combat illegal activity and urban degradation in Terni.
