Terni to host Pigiama Run for pediatric cancer support

The Pigiama Run 2026, a solidarity walk and run to support children with cancer and their families, is scheduled for September 18 at Parco Emanuela Loi in Terni. Organized by Lilt (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori), the event takes place during Gold Ribbon Month, which focuses on pediatric cancer awareness.

Participants can choose between 3 km or 6 km routes. All proceeds from registrations and donations, supported by sponsors, will fund three specific local projects in the Terni province. These include providing financial assistance to families to cover travel and accommodation costs for medical treatments, supporting the association ‘I Pagliacci’ in their play-based hospital accompaniment activities, and renovating the Pediatric Prehabilitation outpatient clinic at the Santa Maria Hospital in Terni. The renovation aims to create a more welcoming environment for children through colorful decorations and the installation of a television for audiovisual content.
