Tierra del Fuego promotes energy investment and local innovation
Tierra del Fuego is actively pursuing economic diversification and energy development through international engagement and local innovation programs.
At an international energy summit in Rio de Janeiro, provincial Energy Minister Ma. Gabriela Castillo presented investment opportunities within the Cuenca Austral. The agenda focuses on showcasing existing production areas, potential bidding zones, and exploratory sectors, covering both onshore and offshore operations to attract national and international companies.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Production and Environment concluded the 6th edition of the TDF Innova contest at the Universidad Nacional de Tierra del Fuego. The competition aims to promote innovation and diversify the provincial productive matrix. Winners include FactorQ (clean energy), Roux Sublime (musical instruments), and Lastseat (tourism technology). The program, supported by sponsors such as Terra Ignis Energía, provides winners with $2 million for investment and digital maturity diagnostics.
