Terra Invicta launches 'Dark Skies' DLC with new scenarios and ship graphics
Hooded Horse and Pavonis Interactive announced the first expansion for the grand‑strategy game Terra Invicta, titled Dark Skies. It will be released on 27 July 2026 across Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. The DLC adds two alternate starting scenarios: “Broken Earth”, a nuclear‑apocalypse timeline stemming from a Cuban‑Missile‑Crisis fallout, and “2003”, set during the U.S. invasion of Iraq with an extraterrestrial threat arriving twenty years later. In addition, the expansion introduces two new ship‑design packs – a NASA‑inspired aesthetic and a hard‑SF industrial look.
A community‑compiled guide for Terra Invicta also outlines numerous strategies for early gameplay, such as focusing on a few strong nations, prioritising control points, managing influence, and advancing key technologies like space mining and propulsion before building large fleets. These tips aim to help players expand efficiently and prepare for the challenges presented in the new DLC.
