Terra Metals extends Southwest PGM discovery in Western Australia
Terra Metals has extended its Southwest platinum group metal (PGM), copper, and nickel discovery in Western Australia to a 1.35km strike. The company reported drilling its largest continuous high-grade reef to date, part of a series of reefs located at shallow depths.
Drilling results included a 336.9m interval grading 1.02g/t 3E (combined platinum, palladium, and gold), 0.11% copper, and 0.19% nickel. Other significant intercepts included 308.4m at 0.92g/t 3E and 181m at 0.85g/t 3E. The mineralised system remains open in all directions.
With heritage clearance now covering the full footprint and metallurgical testwork advancing, Terra Metals expects to release its maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) in the first quarter of 2027. The company noted that over 40,000 assays are currently awaiting laboratory results.
