Terranuova and Terni hold memorials for road accident victims

In Terranuova, a candlelight procession will take place on August 4 to remember Giulia Santoni, Gianni Trappolini and patient Franco Lovari, who died in a fatal A1 highway crash a year ago. The event, organized by the local Misericordia, the regional federation of charitable societies and the municipality, will start at 20:00 from the Prada plant parking area and follow the highway stretch where the three lost their lives.

In Narni scalo, Umbria, the funeral for 16‑year‑old Lorenzo Serangeli is scheduled for July 18 after he was killed in a night‑time scooter collision with a Renault on a road in Terni. The ceremony will be held at the Church of St. Antonio, allowing the community to gather and mourn the teenager.

Both gatherings illustrate how Italian towns are commemorating victims of recent road tragedies, with local residents, authorities and charitable groups participating in memorial services and remembrance events.
