Terras de Bouro approves municipal plan revision and announces 512th anniversary celebrations

The Terras de Bouro Municipal Council has unanimously approved the weighting report for the second revision of the Municipal Director Plan (PDM). Following a 60-day public discussion period that received 176 valid participations, the final proposal will now move to the Municipal Assembly for approval.

The revision includes the addition of approximately 47 hectares of urban land and the exclusion of 23.23 hectares from the National Agricultural Reserve and 18.85 hectares from the National Ecological Reserve. The updated plan also integrates the Municipal Archaeological Charter and corrections to previous omissions.

Separately, the municipality has announced a commemorative week from October 19 to 26 to celebrate the 512th anniversary of its Charter of Foral, granted by King Manuel I. The program features various institutional ceremonies, including the delivery of Civil Protection equipment, the inauguration of the Garrano Interpretive Center, and the opening of the Carlos Pereira Cultural Center. Several government ministers and secretaries of state are expected to attend the festivities.
