Terrasini Coast Guard rescues swimmer after diving accident

A young swimmer was rescued by the Coast Guard after a diving accident near the Grotta delle Colombe in Terrasini. The individual was found semi-conscious on a rocky ledge with significant injuries to the head and forearms, likely caused by impact with the rocks.

Rescue operations were complicated by strong swells and shallow rocks. The Coast Guard deployed the B59 vessel, including a specialized maritime rescuer who provided immediate first aid to stabilize the victim and stop bleeding. After being transferred to the port of Terrasini, the individual was met by an ambulance and transported to the hospital in Partinico for further treatment.
