Terrassa and Valencia launch free summer programs for children and teens

The Terrassa City Council introduced the "Carnet Estiu Adolescent", a free summer pass for residents born between 2009 and 2013. The card gives access to sports, workshops and excursions throughout July. The first 1,000 registrants also receive complimentary tickets for Cinema Catalunya, municipal pools and a choice of other leisure activities. Applications are accepted at La Baumann between 29 June and 3 July and at the Terrassa Fest on 30 June; minors under 14 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia opened registration for a free summer school called "La companyia magnètica". Running from 30 June to 10 July, the programme invites children aged 6‑12 to explore theatrical creativity through participatory workshops inspired by Pablo Helguera’s “Teatre magnètic” exhibition. Participants collaboratively develop and perform a short play. Registration is required in advance via email.

Both initiatives aim to provide inclusive, cost‑free leisure and cultural experiences for local youth during the summer holidays.
