Terrassa officials seek more Mossos d'Esquadra support for station security

The Terrassa City Council is calling for increased support from the Mossos d'Esquadra to address security and social issues surrounding local railway stations. Xavier Cardona, the city's Councilor for Security, highlighted concerns regarding the Nord Park area, where residents report that a playground has been unusable for over a year due to the presence of homeless individuals.

Cardona noted that while coordination has been established between the Municipal Police and the video surveillance systems of Adif and Renfe, the scale of the R4 line and the surrounding population requires greater involvement from the Catalan regional police. The council aims to improve security and control movement around the Terrassa Nord and Terrassa Est stations.
