Terrassa slang stars on Catalan TV show Atrapa’m si pots

The summer edition of the Catalan quiz show Atrapa’m si pots on 3Cat featured a team from Terrassa called “El Revoltijo.” Presenter Llucià Ferrer explored the city’s distinctive vocabulary, prompting laughs over words such as “paparola” (local term for a flower), “maquinada” (meaning to run the washing machine), and “taifa,” which turned out to be a simple kitchen pot.

Meanwhile, VilaWeb launched a new water‑themed quiz game, Què sé jo?, as part of its catalogue of Catalan‑language games. The ten‑question round, running until 13 August, asks participants about words, expressions and proverbs linked to water, offering a chance to win VilaWeb‑branded merchandise.
